On June 27, Komatsu Mining Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Komatsu Mining"), a subsidiary of Komatsu Manufacturing Co., Ltd., held the opening ceremony of its new factory at the Southport Plant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA.
The Nangang factory is the new headquarters factory of Komatsu Mining, with a total investment of about 300 million US dollars. The production area in the Nangang factory area covers an area of about 430,000 square feet. The production equipment has been migrated since March 2022, and mass production has now started gradually. According to the plan, it is expected that the migration of all models of equipment will be completed and full-scale mass production will be realized in 2022.
In the new mid-term management plan "DANTOTSU Value-Together, to'The Next'for sustainable growth", Komatsu proposes to realize the realization of DANTOTSU Value (customer value creation that realizes a virtuous cycle of solving ESG issues and improving profitability) The goal of new value creation is to continuously take new steps towards the realization of future-type sites, striving to pass on a sustainable future to the next generation.
